Default I finally did it! (Lightning)

I've been trying to get a decent shot of lightning for well over a year now, and it just hasn't worked out: lack of opportunity and lack of cooperation from the weather.

Anyhow, my city got its first decent lightning show in quite a while and I managed to capture this. It might not be the most amazing shot ever, but considering it's the first time I've shot lightning, I'm pretty excited about it.

Very nice, and a double strike to boot!! I've been trying for over a year now, myself .. its what got me started with photography in the first place!

Its so exciting when you finally catch a strike, even if its a mediocre one (which this one is clearly NOT).

Keep chasing those storms

Great image. I haven't had a chance yet. That is my goal before the summer is over.

Excellent job! Two bolts, the one on the right split and the building on the left makes for a very interesting shot.

This is great, add me to the list of those who have not yet got an opportunity to capture lightning!

Awesome capture! The one on the right looks like it is going right thru the building beneath it.
Congratulations!
