Default Tanganyika Wild Life Park... White Tigers

These images were captured at Tanganyika Wildlife Park just west of Wichita. These are magnificent creatures. I found the following information about White Tigers from a google search.

The white tiger animal is a recessive gene carrier and according to some the white fur is due to the absence of yellow pigmentation. It is definitely not a case of albinism or that it is a new species. It is scientifically the same as - Panthera tigris tigris

White Tiger 5

White Tiger 6

White Tiger 3

Tigers in general, are the largest cats on earth. The live in steamy jungles and snowy forests. They are endangered, with from 5,000 to 7,400 left.

Tigers are such gorgeous animals and the white one is so beautiful. I love all these Tom but he looks so content and relaxed in the third one. He has the same look on his face and my cat when he is happy. Great captures and great work Tom. Thanks for sharing the white tiger with us.

Dave.

outstanding presentation Tom, first rate photos of an awesome creature .. love your different angles and poses.. the focus and exposure are very good for such harsh lighting.. and you framed all of them really well , thanks very much for the added info , I've not seen many photos of white tigers, this was a special treat!

great set !!

Thanks Dave, we are fortunate to have these cats so close. As beautiful as they are, they can be deadly. I'm happy to stay on my side of the cage.

These close ups shots are great. I like the frame around the first one, cool. He looks so relaxed in the third shot. Thanks for sharing.

Your shots are amazing, but the second one takes the cake for me. Really good job on all with framing etc. too.
