Default ISKCON Festival of Chariots

I happen to be on the Venice Boardwalk (CA) on a cloudy Sunday morning. Just when I getting disappointed with my pictures I found out that there was going to be a parade by the ISKCON folks shortly. And boy was I thrilled. My Speedlight was the hero of the day, it saved me from getting gloomy pictures. Here are a few. Hope you like them:

1. The first chariot approaching:

2. One of the beautiful Gopikas in the parade:

3. The side of the chariot.

4. Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the Deity

There are pics more on my Flickr, if you are interested. Thanks for looking. Would love to hear your feedback.

A nice set of shots. Speed light saved the day by bringing out the vibrant colors.

Thank you sheltiesmama, I like that pic too. There is some kind of a radiance in her face.

FTHBOAH, thank you. Sorry for throwing around the Nikon jargon. Its a generic term for Flash. I was using my SB-800 .
