Default City by the Bay

I took a long weekend trip to San Fransisco. I had a tough time with the Golden Gate Bridge getting the color and exposure the way I wanted so I thought I'd try B/W. The second shot was some colorful fishing boats along the pier.

Great shots Mike - like the 2nd one with the colours and refection. Good composition on both. Pity you could not get the complete bridge in unless of course you didn't want to. Cheers, Bernz

Thanks, Bernz. The bridge shot was taken from on board a boat sailing under the bridge.

We don't always get to see the Golden Gate bridge shot from that angle and sometimes when we go to places, we only get one time to get a shot, so you gotta go with it! I'd rather give it a B&W treatment than to not have it at all, and while your shot wasn't exactly what you wanted, it's still very good. I like them both.

Thanks, Mike. I am sort of pleased with the B/W. It was my first go at a B/W conversion.
