Richmond Park! Although I wouldn't really call it a park, or urban for that matter...
I went out there today to try my hand at a bit of wildlife photography, not too happy with the results but I'll be damned if I'm sitting on the tube for 2 hours with nothing to show for it! ![]() A male red deer reclining under the shade of a tree, a magnificent creature ![]() I tried to get closer and he promptly darted! ![]() This is actually a parakeet, unfortunately I couldn't get the right angle to show it's bright green feathers before it took off ![]() The light was too good not to take this Richmond Park wiki if anyone's interested, it's my favourite park in London, more like a nature reserve really. Thanks for looking! |

That spider is very scary looking. Looks huge. The other shots are really good as well, love the deer.

Thanks for the comments

There's a popuation of 650 in this park, which gets a lot of visitors so they're surprisingly tame for such large and powerful animals. |
