Smile It's a Bobcat !!

I was out taking pictures a couple of weeks ago, and I heard something running through the tall grass. About 5 minutes later I finally got a look at what had been about 4 feet away from me. It was a Bobcat ! I live in Maine-USA, and it is very rare to see them. Actually, I've never seen one in the "wild"-only seen them at the zoo. Wow, what a rush !!
I did "talk" to him a bit, but I sure wasn't saying "Here Kitty Kitty" !

p.s.
I've never posted a picture on a forum before, I sure hope that I'm doing this correctly. Please forgive me if this wrong.

Shanna

cool! i love seeing big (or at least big-ish) predators out in the wild... so much of the time they are so elusive, its such a treat when you do see one.

great capture too, i love it that he's staring right at you

and welcome to the forums!!

Welcome to DPS! How exciting!!! I'd love to see one of these in the wild, they are such beautiful critters. You must have been exillarated to see it standing there.

WELCOME to DPS
That is an awesome shot...I lived in Maine for about 8 years and I never saw one. Good job.

Wow, talk about being in the right place at the right time and keeping your wits about you to get a great capture. Really like how you have him framed between the tree limbs. Great shot!
