Default Newbie Question - Talent versus Interest

Greetings from Damp, Humid, Hot, Rainy Florida!

here is a logical question that I am sure ALL photographers and hobbyists battle, is capturing a moment in time a talent? luck? celestial intervention??
I have included a few samples of a few images I felt were of interest, enjoy as I have!

WELCOME to DPS..the best site on the web.
I think finding the right moment in time is a combination of being in the right place at the right time....practice, practice, practice...and keeping your eyes open. Being able to anticipate what might happen helps too.
As for your shots, they are nice..

Half and Half. I think being there at the right time is luck... knowing how to capture that moment into something meaningful is talent...

CHEERS,
Nice images!!! I agree with what has been said so far - I think it is really a combination of both. I do know this - over the past year, i have focused a lot on framing shots and on really trying to use dramatic lighting. My images have greatly improved. Now when I look at a scene - I immediately start to locate the angle I want to shoot from. I still have a lot to learn - but I feel much more comfortable when approaching a possible photo moment.....I will say this also - I take my camera EVERYWHERE! There is no way to catch that once in a lifetime moment if my camera is at home!
