Thanks, Hayward .. it was amazing to watch. It should be visible in most of the northern hemisphere. I saw most of them between 1am & 2am MST last night. They will continue to be visible until approximately the 24th.

Hey, these are really cool clear shots. What an amazing sight to see and capture. Thanks for sharing it with those of us that didn't get to see it first hand.

I am completely jealous, I meant to get and take some pictures myself, but I over slept last night. Maybe I will try tomorrow morning...... I hope they are still out in force, or I will be sad.

What were your setting for capturing these? I was out in the middle of nowhere and setup shots from 100 ISO to 1600 ISO with f3.5 and could only capture stars. I has a few streak across the lens, but they did not show up in my final shot.

I used my 50 mm F1.8 lens, wide open with a 20 second exposure. I tried using my 3.5 lens, but the exposures had to be too long, and anything that passed by ended up as a faint streak in the final shot.

The 50 mm lens covers a very narrow area of the sky, so I aimed at the Perseus constellation (just below Cassiopeia), and got lucky

Of the 267 shots I took, these are the only 2 with a clear result. 2 others had a faint streak where a meteor had passed, but I think I'm the only one that could pick it out

Next year I'm hoping to get my hands on a nice wide angle lens. A fish-eye would work nicely, I bet!
