The scratches were worth it!
Me and my bf went to the botanic gardens in Sydney today and had a lovely time feeding the wild cockatoos and rainbow lorikeets.
They were happy to jump up and sit on our hands, arms and shoulders while we gave them a few morsels of bread and my arms have got the scratches to prove it. Here is a photo I took of one as he sat on a branch close by, waiting his turn.

I always wanted one of these..i have seen one in a pet shop here but they wanted $1500 or more for it ...great shot...and a beautiful bird...thanks for sharing and welcome to dps.

I had a Moloccan Cockatoo....Cockatoos are the most affectionate of all parrots...unfortunately that's how people turn them into screamers. They are lovely birds and this is a lovely shot of one.
