What a great cultural experience. It seems as if I might need to put the farmer's market in Santa Barbara down on my list of things to see. You've shown off the instruments in great detail and captured the character of the hands and in the last photo an amazing face. A marvelous set!!

Hi Lindy - instruments produce the sound - hands is what makes the music .. this is a soulful presentation .. and you complete the package with the flutist .. he is so into his music ... if I close my eyes, I can hear it all

I love these photographs. One of my favourite things to do when in our city center is listen to the street musicians. Some of them are really very good. I think one thing that we share around the globe is our excellent street musicians. I would love to have listened to the ones in your pictures especially the last one with the flute. I find that music so soothing. I love them all Linda.

Dave.

If music be the food of love, play on, give me excess of it, that, surfeiting the appetite may sicken, and so die.

A beautiful series of pictures Lindy, you have captured a cultural essence, personalty and charactor to each of your troubadours and I too can hear the soft glow of the panpipes.

Hi Linda! That looks like a 15 string balilika, Beautiful! I love street musicians, Last year we had a troupe from Peru here and we really enjoyed listening to their music. We even bought a couple of their CD's Your B & W treatment works very well here.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.

Beautiful work, Lindy. On the first, I love the glimmer of the milk crate - that glimmer gives a helpful context to the photo. And on the last, as moi already said, so much character!

Well done.
