Farmer's Market is a typical destination on a Saturday morning in Santa Barbara, California. There are several hundred small, organic farmers in the central coast area that come here to sell their fresh produce creating a direct route from field to table. Yum!
I was there recently and that evening we were planning to have Spicy Talapia (a white fish), pasta, salad and stawberries and ice cream for desert. We needed one serano chili, fresh dill, Spring salad (picked that morning) and homemade pasta. We also HAD to have a bracelet/pirate sword for Soleil and Taj from the Balloon Man. And how could we pass up the fresh apricot bars? Then, of course, we needed to watch the street tap dancer. Oh, and fresh flowers to welcome a neighbors new baby. It was a perfect meeting of supply and demand! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice series of shots of your day. I love the farm market. It's a pleasant way to spend time talking with the farmers and the others who are there. Pretty cool that there were people there doing tap dancing too ^^ That must add to the experience. thanks for sharing ^^

Wow Linda, your presentations are always so perfect and those market veg are so colourful and fresh looking. Your description has also made me hungry. The flowers are gorgeous and isn't great to watch the street dancers perform. It looked like a fun way of shopping and a nice dinner after. This is a lovely post. Thank you.
Dave.

Actually, BC, there's not enough time in the day to pursue all the ideas that are filling my brain these days. Three years, 11 months until I retire! Thanks so much!
