Last night lightening

Violent storm last night. It sounded like 100 cannons going off at once. The dog jumped and growled, The lights flickered and i smiled! Grabbed the camera and the girlfriend and i went to the lake! To my disappointment by the time we got there the storm passed over the lake. I sat there for 30 minutes trying to get a decent pic but it was for nothing.

On the way home we, Or it caught up with us and i was able to grab this pic from the truck on the side of the road in the field we passed. I tried my best to make this photo presentable but it was so bright and so close, i was just happy to get the shot. What you see here is the start of the lightening that went across the entire sky from left to right like a spider web. It sure would have been great to be fast enough for a panorama! lol

To end the night the dog puked all over my console when we pulled in the drive way...
