Default Ugly vs. Beauty

This area is close to my house and where I shoot most of the birding photos I take. I like the comparison between man's ugly power and communication towers in competition with nature's display of beauty. Normally I just avoid looking in this direction, but the sky was so nice I decided to take this shot.

Sun Power vs. Man Power

This is what you see if you avoid looking at the towers, highway, and buildings close by. A small flock of Orange-Cheeked Waxbills.

Finally another look at the American Kestrel, all shot within close proximity of the power lines and cell phone towers.

The last one is stunning, a perfect shot of a bird in my opinion.

Thanks billmac, that was just an adder to show I can take a good photo, there is another post that has four shots of this guy that are pretty good also.

Beautiful birds, and the sky is striking. I do like the contrast.

Thanks Vin, I noticed that it depends on the monitor one is using as to how the towers look. On my laptop and the calibrated monitor on the Mac it looks fine in small size, but on my Windows desktop it looks horrible until I see the full size photo. Yes, I admit I suck at that sort of shot, need to stick to wildlife...

Very nice images Fred. The sunset poking through is beautiful in it's own way. The birds are spectacular. Nice set.
