A few more of our Northland adventure.....
![]() Our visit to Kukutauwhao Island Lighthouse, Northland NZ Every stage of our walk to the lighthouse was interesting. We encountered many very steep steps, a sea lion, oyster catcher, lovely view of a yacht setting sail and many varieties of flowers including manuka, and clamatis. The scenery was just awesome. ![]() Lonesome vessell in fading light, Ngunguru River, Northland NZ ![]() Yacht setting sail from Tutukaka Harbour, Northland NZ ![]() The Railroad runs (not through the middle of the house) but the middle of the town. A lovely set of photographs to make up a very nice collage in the first one. the second one ( my favourite from the set ) is lovely framing with a nicely framed boat with the trees. That is just so nice Pauline. And two more beautiful scenes from the Northlands. Your work is always so nicely presented and your photographs are beautiful too.
Dave.

Thankyou all for your kind comments. I have to agree with you Dave, No.2 is my favourite from this set...the framing purely experimental though. The names Michael, are indeed fascinating to say the least, but they all having special Maori meanings. Ngunguru for example (to sigh or groan), Tutukaka (the Kaka or parrot perch) and so on. I have yet to study to find out how these names came about. And Bernz, well, when I can capture birds in flight like you can my friend, I shall be very proud. Thanks one and all.
