Pear Study

I found this pear in my back yard the other day and the cracks in it interested me. Something about the finding beauty even in death struck me. I couldn't pass up taking a few snaps of it. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the bits of fabric clinging to parts of the pear until after uploading to my PC and I didn't have much luck cloning them out. I still like the shots, though. Thanks for looking!

That's an interesting subject. That's what is really great about this site...something we might never think to photograph, someone else does and opens our minds to different things. Thanks for sharing

Thanks deudbus, If you do sound creepy, then I guess I am creepy too, because that is what I was going for.

Thanks leona, I cannot agree more about the variety of subjects on this site. It is truly astounding. I find myself always looking for interesting subjects and compositions, even when I don't have a camera. That is all thanks to this forum and its wonderful members.

I agree. I might have to try a B&W treatment. All of the levels of contrast on the pear would be striking in B&W, not to mention it would underline the decay of the subject. Thanks for the suggestion, skamp!
