I was feeling a bit uninspired, so I posted a challenge on my Facebook page to give me ideas of something to shoot. They ranged from the emotional (two old folks holding hands) to the practical (a #2 pencil with an apple - for the beginning of the school year) to the dangerous (me on a Segway - what a joke that would be). My choice of photo was this one. I had to purchase pina colada mix to make this ... the sacrifices we make for our art! I had a cereal box standing on the countertop, and it was draped with some wild fabric. The fabric swept along the counter and went over an upturned bowl upon which I set the glass. I shot this in RAW on a tripod with my flash pointed to the left; the flash was reflected off of a windshield protector.
Post processing: RAW conversion, sharpened, cropped, added "frame" to the canvas, added title. Enjoy!
