Default Prairie Sunset

Just got back from home on the prairies and wanted to share a couple of sunset pics. The lighting and colour against the hills was beautiful and I wanted to capture it. I would have got more pics, but it started pouring rain about 1 min after I took these. Good thing the cabin was close!

This is exactly the kind of images museums here in Colorado push to make prairies exciting to visitors raised on action movies and video games. Nicely done!

Thanks, I appreciate it! I really do love the prairies, and growing up there it was so easy to take it's beauty for granted. Thanks again for the comments.

Excellent foreground to set off a spectacular sunset! The rays are splendid and the rolling hills are beautiful.

I was a little worried, because the rain was coming down so hard that my camera got a little wet even though I put it under my shirt. I pulled the battery and dried it off, and it seems to be ok. Anyway, I am glad you like the picture, you should come to northern Saskatchewan sometime; great fishing!

Thanks Mike, I was home for a week and was watching for a good sunset. I wish I would have got one with all the reds, oranges and pink, but I was pretty happy with this one too. Thanks again.
