Default Solitude leads to creativity?

I took this shot while at a rocky beach with some friends who are also into photography. We were about to get ready to leave the beach area when this lady came down, sat on this rock, and began to start sketching or drawing. I could not resist the temptation so I took the shot. Enjoy.

ISO 200/ 250mm/ f7.1/ 1/800sec

Drawing at 1001 steps-1

As a seeker of solitude, I'm certainly understanding why you chose this title and wanted to take this photo. She does seem to be lost in her art. Lovely photo. BW was a great choice.

Thanks lindyannajones. I thought B&W was a good choice as well. The colour version I found a bit distracting. I was luck I was in the right place at the right time as well, which seems to be quite important for people shots! Thanks again for the kind comments. Cheers.

very very nice. I love solitude myself. I usually seek it in the wild places... Like a streamside lake or other mountainous region. The beach works in a pinch too. TNX for sharing. Nice use of BW too.

Thank you so much everyone for the positive feedback on this photo. I guess i am getting better at my B&W conversions! This was a special moment to catch, and I too appreciate solitude in this hectic life where things seem to be moving faster and faster. So far I have found that some of my best photos are within places like this beach, where people tend to find a quiet space and relax. I just wish i had more time to relax : ) Thanks again everyone for the kind praise.

Beach, I like your new avatar. It is a great shot! Did you take this one as well? You are one amazing photographer. I will have to visit your Flickr site to check out some of the updates you have posted. I really liked some of the zoo shots you recently posted.

She really was oblivious to everything going on around her, which was not a lot : ) That beach is a very quiet place to go.
