Default Amature overcast day photo for critique

This was a photo i took on a day where we saw the rain comming across the harbour, as the wind picked up and the temperature dropped i knew the rain was about to hit so i quickly snapped a couple of photos of this toi-toi and was amazed at how it turned out, I have since had it blown up to a 12"x18" and framed and looks fantastic.

I would just like to hear others feedback or any suggestions and advice for future attempts as i think this was more of a fluke.

Just for the record I have never used a slr of any sort or ever been into photography much before october last year and even since buying a DSLR i have only flicked through books for techniques its all self taught...which is why I'm especially proud of this one.

It's a really beautiful photo Jason. I can almost feel the wind from the approaching rain/storm. i can see why you are proud. If you are looking for critique though you should post this in the critique forum. Kimi

WELCOME to DPS.
This is a very good first post Jason. But as Kimi said, if you want to be critiqued, you must go to that section. I like this shot...you can really feel the storm coming in.
