These hoppers are all over the place in the SE U.S. and are rather slow and clumsy. I like how this turned out. I have another copy of this to which I applied an Orton effect. I keep finding that I am doing better with macro or very close shots.

I have never seen a grasshopper like that. That's a nice capture, and it's amazing that you didn't scare it away.
