Default Iron in the soul

Mooching round a tiny village in Surrey-Stoke D'Abernon, I 'strayed/trespassed' into a HUGE and beautiful garden where I came across a set of iron gates-beautifully designed,-a small gate back into the churchyard with a shell latch and then a door with an interesting latch and keyhole. Also a lovely rusty chain hanging on a brick wall-here are the results!

Great textures and ironwork. I love old rusty things that have stood the test of time. You've given me a feast for my eyes with great detail, craftsmanship and varying textures. I've enjoyed immensely

Hi Mike...........this was such an interesting place.............and it was a bit private/secretive. I was really happy to see all the old workmanship-exactly as you say.Thank you for the thoughtful comments.

Iron in the soul! And not just iron, but as Mike said, a feast of rust, color, texture, curls and turns.
The lock, the chain,... if I had to choose one, I would have problems. I like all them!

I agree with all of the above, moi. Very nicely done.

And I'm relieved that you experienced no unpleasant ramifications from your wanderings.

Hi Chip! Thank you very much for the compliments. I have just discovered that the HUGE garden belongs to a school-shut for the summer. Don't feel so guilty now.
