It really is one of the best.
I like the book. Title and pics are all about "out of normal", beings.
You look so "normal", passing a sensation of calm, simplicity, soft, tender.
The contrast is great.
Considering your other photos, this is more you.
How did you made this color/tone?

thanks your comments are detailed and thoughts, so refreshing!

as for the tone of it. I am embarrassed to say that it was in iphoto. i usually don't use it, but i've recently gotten a new computer and haven't bought new programs yet, and slightly annoyed that i've misplaced my old versions. anyway it was in iphoto, and with some of the effects: antique, edge blur, and fade color.

The composition is interesting as are the PP and sepia tones. The background with the hexagonal beehive shape works very good. The book could have been distracting but it actually adds to the overall picture and leaves the viewer thinking about imaginary and amazing creatures (like you would like to be, sometimes?) The shadows on your face also work well (not too dark). The expresion in your face is intriguing. Overall, a job well done!
thanks so much

Great lighting and toning, I don't find the book distracting as I would think it says something about u, that u like fanciful characters or would like to be/ are one.

The tiles as a background is interesting as they add shape and form, better than a big blank there, however do not take away from the main subjects.

...as for the tone of it. I am embarrassed to say that it was in iphoto...

don't be !

it doesn't mater the tool. If it is a tool of the trade, use it. The important is the final result.

In my opinion, if the way we get there isn't a subject of discussion, then getting there wasn't that special at all.
