Road Trip!

Last week, my wife and I left before dawn on a 9-hour road trip. She drove first. These shots do a decent job of capturing what I saw from the passenger seat, as I struggled to stay awake.






Lack of vibration reduction, a Chevy Trailblazer and a bumpy stretch of road all contributed to these photos.

I love road trips, but that's a lot about how I feel when I go on them. We used to go from the Atlanta area to Miami when I was a kid, before interstates and air conditioning. Windows down all the way and my parents drove pretty fast. I would be vibrating until the next day.

Thanks, Mike. It seems that I'm a bit younger, since we had interstates (but not complete like they are today) and A/C, but my dad was quite good at obeying the 55 mph speed limit! Sure made for long, long road trips as a kid.

Thanks very much, Fred. It seems that roads around here are getting worse - and this was on an interstate.
