Hi,
I ventured to participate in the local Anual Scott Kelby´s photowalk. That day I took several dozens of shots, but the first ones and last ones really caused me something. I found this guy sleeping in the central park of Heredia, Costa Rica; the point of encounter for the walk. I shoot him, I would say in a shy way, I did not want to disturb him but still wanted to capture that moment. ![]() A strange fact is that I found him again, also sleeping, at the end pf the photowalk in a park by the church. ![]() I feel it was not a coincidence that I took these pictures and just wanted to share them with you. I have not seen this person amongst the other photowalkers pictures. This is the first picture, edited, as I submitted it to Kelby´s walk. ![]() Bigger versions available at flickr. Thanks for stopping by, Mauricio

Hi!
Thank you all for your kind comments. I am glad it was a good decision to turn the picture into B&W. Lol! Leona, I dont know if this guy would even agree to be in a picture, but well, who knows! The one I turned into black and white is very intriging to me, his face has something ... and the whole transmits a certain feeling. Sometimes I think I should not have cropped in order to leave more people in the surroundings and even the moving foot walking away from the frame ... Maybe because it my own capture, I don´t know, but this picture makes me think about human nature, about how fragile we are and about how self confident we can be... I must confess that I am not yet very confident in photographing people, actually the portrait assignment freaked me out, but at the same time helped me build a bit more confidence regarding portraits. Since this assignmet I have taken some more portraits and without I doubt I would have shot this guy which has turned to be one of my own favorite shots. Thanks DPS! I am a selftought amateur photographer and most of my learnig has been trough this site. Thank you all for all the tips, tutorials, space to show and certainly for your valuable critics. Just by looking at picture posts one can learn lots of stuff. Thanks again, Mauricio

b/w always works well with this subject as it depicts and draws attention to what the subject is about. somehow in colour it can be flat.
did you leave something for him?? That would have been an interesting wake up for him lol!! cheers mike
