Default I went to Tibet for 20 minutes

Hey guys, these were snaps the other day, not a lot of time or focus went into them .. snaps .. What this is is a Tibetan community Centre and I understand temple for the local community here in GTA .. the gentleman who met me at the door unannounced (the colours caused a u-turn) was so inviting and ready to share his countries history .. I have a ton to research before I go back, but I really intend to.. I was invited to go upstairs to view and photograph the people upstairs in the Temple but it was a very important religious day for them so no chance of me interrupting.. please ignore my ignorance to these people .. I love this city!

Literally .. a window into Tibet

004

the corner of the front "porch" overhang that caused the u-turn

002

And a hand woven rug of what I understand is a historical depiction of the central temple, Education centre, monastery and health care facility .. Jokhang Temple, i think..

005

again I'm gonna google up and return..

Great to see your appreciation of Tibet and their architecture. I used to live in Lhasa, but now live in Yunnan. I have attached a shot taken in Shangri La (Zhongdian) This is in the Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan Temple outside of Tibet.

The woven rug depicts the Potala Palace, here is shot, but the other side!!

Stunning shots. I love the colors and the style of architecture. Am anxiously waiting to see the photos you shoot when you go back.
