Default Young Green Heron

Make a quick stop on the way back to the office and found this little guy looking for a meal.

Green Heron Stalking

Here he stopped for at least one hour waiting for something to move. I did not get the shot of his catching his meal if he actually found something. I had to leave to get back to work.
Will drop in when I can, currently too much on my plate to have much time for play.

Green Heron Waiting

Hi Fred! This is a Great Capture! We have this variety in Thailand as well, it called the Little Heron, (Butoides striatus) Your focus is really clear on this one. Well done!
I surmise your being busy is a good thing and so we will hope that you can get some free time to visit and post these wonderful shots.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.

Great job, Fred! Why can't these birds cooperate and do something while we're on lunch break? Crystal clear focus and I've enjoyed looking at them.

Thanks Prime, this was an immature bird and has some growing to do but they don't get very big.

Thanks Michael, get some shots of your Little Heron I would love to see what they look like. Yes, owning a contracting company does mean that being busy is a good thing. I just need to hire a few more employees, I am working on projects that other employees don't have the skill set required to perform. I need a few more people then the boss can go back to chasing the birds.

Thanks Mike, I sure wish I could get them to cooperate with my schedule. I have tried for months to shoot a Blue Heron, now I can't even find one and I have twenty people that are scouting their areas for me and no one has spotted one.

Thanks leona, there a smaller heron but can be very aggressive around the other herons. I seen these little guys win several battles over food or territory with much larger egrets and herons.

Thanks Fred, one of these days I'll figure out how to shoot something beside a bird or animal. Then again, probably not.
