Hi,
This is my second attempt to catch the moon. The first one was simply terrible since I did not know that "focus to infinity" existed. Both shots were taken within minutes from each other. The blue on still with daylight, the black one not so much. Feedback is greatly appreciated. i hope you enjoy them. ![]() ![]() Both images are un-edited. Thanks you for stopping by, Mauricio.

Hi,
Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments. How I got those? Well I have tried before without success and this time I would say setting the camera to manual focus and then to infinity did the trick. I used a tripod for steadiness. I set f to 3.5, ISO to 80 and adjusted exposure via shutter speed. It was a bit cloudy so I waited for the clouds to move a bit, though I still got some in the lower left of the moon. Regarding setting, for the first one: Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125) Aperture: f/3.5 Focal Length: 72 mm ISO Speed: 80 Exposure Bias: 0 EV And the second one: Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250) Aperture: f/3.5 Focal Length: 72 mm ISO Speed: 80 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Complete EXIF info is available at flickr in case you want more detail. I like the fact that both images are completely un-edited, I did not even crop them. Thanks again, Mauricio (mpenarandaa)
