Default Black and White or Color??

I took some pictures of a friends baby while babysitting. I'm still not very good with portrait shots. I played around with this one to print out and give to them as a gift. Please give opinions......the black and white or color? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I like the black and white, but I feel as if it lacks something. I am not a "pro" but what if you try leaving the hearts red. Kinda gives a little more character and to me would show that the child is the parents heart or is loved.

I like the black and white. It looks nice, and I like how the blue and red ribbons are still in color. Maybe try bumping up the contrast and saturation before applying black and white? It might help bring out the picture more.

It is definately more suited to black and white but I do think it needs a little more contrast added
