I was told that there is an artificial lake at a mere 20 min. drive from home. I was told that I could find interesting birds to take pictures of. I arrived to the lake last Sat at around 18:00 Hs.
NO BIRDS. I walked around, I found a quiet spot by the lake and waited for the birds to show up. STILL, NO BIRDS. I noticed the mosquitoes. And, boy, did they notice me?! I also had a small discovery, almost a revelation. I found the dragonflies. They seem to be all hidding there, by that small lake. I saw only two varieties: Black and desert camouflage (I'll post a couple of samples of them after I process them). After an hour or so of quiet and peaceful "meditation" (waiting for the birds, of course) the zen took ove me and I started seeing japanese images before my eyes. Here is one I wanted to share with you. PS: if there is any japanese photographer looking, could you please let me know if I chose the right Hanko? Thanks! ![]() Camera: Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200) Aperture: f/5.0 Focal Length: 60 mm Exposure: +0.48 ISO Speed: 200 Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Thanks for looking and I'm glad you like it.
It is only ONE dragonfly and its matching reflecion. I know it is confusing but if you look at it for a second it will all make sense. Perhaps there is some underlying meaning to the non-obviousness of the image.

Very creative Flavio...and I love the wing action. Nice reflection. Looks just like so many other Japanese pictures I've seen....except I think those had cranes in them instead of dragonflies...lol
Nice shot
