Default Water Works...

Wichita had an Ice Cream social yesterday, to celebrate being honored with All-American City selection. The Mayor was there, live bands, even the Chief of police. But the real show were the kids, playing in the Old Town Square fountain. This fountain is on a flat plain rather than in a pool. What's more, kids of all ages are encouraged to "play" in the water. The kids were out enforce last night.

Thanks! It was fun to watch. Sometimes, when the firewater is flowing, the "kids" get older.

Great fun. I'm sure if I were there, I'd have to join in myself....some people never grow up!

Great pictures and great fun. We occasionally get a water main blow here and in the warm weather the kids are in it all the time. Your fountains are fabulous and everyone is having a fabulous time. Excellent post Tom, enjoyed looking at these

We used to have a lab. We bought a baby pool for him every year, he loved it. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Beach. I know of two places in town with these fountains. The kids frolic in them all day and into the night. It's hot this week, so they will be a great "free" attraction.
