This is my self-portrait for week 3 of 52. I have no idea what possessed me to do this one. Ok, that's a lie, I do. I originally had my top on and did the pose, and you could barely see I even had a top on... so I was like what the heck, I'll take it off and it'll be funny! Unfortunately for me, the shot came out really overexposed (no flash used, around 8PM) - plus I really hate how tan my arms are... and the rest of me is so.. not. I titled it "(Over)exposed... and okay with it"
P.S. - Feel free to move this if it needs to go somewhere else.

It's a pretty cool shot just the same. I like it.

I think it is a very nice portrait. And, as you promissed before, you are (almost) smiling this time.
The pose is good, the light is fine, The greens and the browns contrast nicely. The setting was wisely chosen. Just sme distracting details pull my eyes from the subject and make it difficult to fully appreciate the picture. I'm talking about the boxes, the chair and the pink thingy. Can't wait for next week...

Thanks everyone for checking it out! It's weird, actually feeling good in your own skin. Flavio - I do agree about the boxes and the chair, I should definitely have moved them, though it was someone else's property and I felt a little uneasy. If I do a reshoot, I'll definitely remember that. As for the pink thing, that's my bathing suit top! You can't tell, but I am wearing the bottoms. There were some outtakes of this shoot (different poses) where I'm holding my top and I'm just cracking up, but my husband would definitely flip. Heck, he'd flip if he saw this one online... oops. Maybe next time you'll get a better smile out of me... I really don't know why I never seem to smile.

Great SP, the boxes at the back are a little distracting and its a shame about the overexposure but it is a really creative shot I think, not something many people would consider doing for a self portrait

Becky, I think this is a good SP. I did catch sight of the bottoms before I read your comments (maybe I was looking a little too closely!), but like you said, if it wasn't much different without the top, why not give it a try? Actually, I think this is very tastefully done, because it leaves everything to the imagination
