Default First Post, American Bulldog

This is my first post at DPS, I have started my obsession with photography when I purchased my first SLR from Ebay. My first camera was a Nikon N75 film camera which I only put through like 50 rolls of film due to the cost of prints as well as the cost of the film. I wanted a DSLR for just over a year when I finnally went and purchased my D40. I also purchased the SB-600 as well as a Nikkor 55-200mm F5.6 lens(which has been recently broken by my dog). I have been in love with photography since. I would love to pursue it as a career, however in this job market, it is not the easiest thing to accomplish. I took this picture at my sister's Rugby game a couple months ago. Please let me know what you think, I intend to post more pictures here at DPS soon.

Yes, he is the one who broke my lens. I still love him to death, he is like my child. My camera was on my dining room table and he was playing with our cat, took off after her and got caught in the table cloth pulling it and my camera right down to the floor. I just realized that my onboard flash seems to be damaged. Thankfully I work at a Best Buy service center and have the warranty to have it repaired. Should have gotten the warranty on the lens as well. I will be commenting and posting more, I have been cruising this site for awhile making sure that I enjoy it and the people in it. I like the setup and the atmosphere here. Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome to DPS! Great looking dog. I think he looks like he'd like to get in that game!
