Default Smoke

Smoke, part 2

This is one of the smoke shots I took last night, you can see the rest here.

I used a incense stick, a black backdrop, my Speedlight 580 EX II with a extensioncord, EOS 50D on tripod. My EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro. I also made a snout for the speedlight from thick paper to only light the smoke and not the background.

Put the camera in manual mode.

Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Exposure: 0.006 sec (1/160)
Aperture: f/13.0
Focal Length: 100 mm
Exposure: 0.00
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Thanks Anaik, indeed it's very nice to take these photos. But after a while the house smelled like smoke.
