Here are a couple of shots of new plants from my backyard.
The first one is growing from seeds I received from a friend at work. It is a Eugenia uniflora (pitanga or Surinam cherry). Pitanga is a delicious, cherry-like fruit that grows on a large bush to small tree. Young Pitanga Tree (better seen in a large format): ![]() Camera: Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Exposure: 0.01 sec (1/100) Aperture: f/3.5 Focal Length: 6 mm Exposure: -0.10 ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Younger Pitanga Tree (better seen in a large format): ![]() Camera: Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Exposure: 0.02 sec (1/50) Aperture: f/2.8 Focal Length: 6 mm Exposure: -0.19 ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: 0 EV I found a piece of Cactus on the street, planted and cared for it for a while. Now it is recovering. Cactus budding: ![]() Camera: Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/400) Aperture: f/2.8 Focal Length: 6 mm Exposure: -0.29 ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Great shots! I like the little tip of new growth on the first one and that cactus is amazing.
