I decided to go on a short hike and take some pictures. When I got out to the falls I stood there and wondered where I could get a shot no else had. So I found this ledge that was about 40 or so feet high. So I made the climb and decided that I would have to scale this rock face to get to the shot I wanted. As I worked my way across the rock face my camera slipped off my shoulder. I screamed SH** and grabbed it out of the air, only to than realize that I myself was now falling down the rock face. I didn't have time to scream when I became airborne and than landed on my butt. Once I came back to my sense, I became worried about my camera and tripod. I was happy to find that my camera had survived, but my tripod had died.
After that I noticed that I was sitting on a second ledge that was 20' below the one I started on. I thought I would make the best of it and take some shots. At that point I figured out that I had the wrong lens on the camera, and I would have to climb back up to where I was and get my camera bag. So I climbed back up and retrieved my gear, and got the shot posted below. Let me know if you think the picture is worth the pain I want through to get it (and the pain im still in tonight). Price of the shot: Lose of blood- More than I care to lose cuts and bruises- Looks like I fell down a rock cliff broken tripod- $90 Getting the picture I wanted- Priceless ![]() Now on a positive note, I had my large pano printed. The people at the print shop were completely blown away by it. So I rushed it over to the office that had bought it. Where I than received positive feedback like I never had before. I had people asking for my card, and to go out shooting with me. So thank you to everyone that gave me feedback on it.

It's a nice shot. You got praise for the shot, and you probably learned that you need a new way to carry your gear when you decide to go scaling rock faces. Besides if you have any scars from it you can show the picture as the reward for the injuries.
