Exclamation I'd better watch out...she's gonna blow my doors in.

Thanks to everyone that commented on my thread containing the pic of Victoria handling my Canon with the Sigma 70-300, and the pic she took of me with my little Sony P&S. Didn't want to bring that thread back to life since there are so many new wonderful photos here that I haven't even begun to have a chance to look through, yet, so I'm saying my thank you's here. To those that said I had the lens cap on....shame on you, that's a reflection! Don't you know Sigma's lens caps are perfectly black? The letters are raised, but black, not white, LOL!!!!

Anyhow....Victoria has decided this is her new favorite thing to do. She calls herself "A real good 'tographer" and that's what she wants to be when she grows up.

She said she wanted to take a picture of Mommy and Joey. This is SOOC - all I did in Photoshop was reduce the size and give her her own watermark, LOL! Nothing else was touched. A bit blurry, but I'm still impressed, this was hand-held with the Sigma 70-300. She won't use any other lens. She says "I want the big lens, Mommy, gimme the Sigma!"

God help me, LOL!!!!!

My 3 1/2 year old took this - SOOC

EXIF for those who are interested in what settings a 3 1/2 year old shoots with:

(Shot in Program mode)
Exposure: 0.01 sec (1/100)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 81 mm
ISO Speed: 250
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

As always, thank you SO MUCH for looking, and for your comments! I've been crazy busy and have not had much time here, and I miss it and my friends here! Oh, and forgive how horrifying I look here with my dirty hair up in a ponytail and no makeup....NOT my most photogenic look, LOL!

Hi Susan! My 9 yr old loves to shoot with the "big" camera even though the point and shoot is readily available. Your daughter will be quite accomplished at an early age I am sure especially with your encouragement and mentoring!

Thumbs up

Oh Susan! What a great story and picture to go with it! I think you may have created a monster! So glad she's having fun with it at such a young age. She'll be running her own business before you know it! (oh...wait...you probably don't wanna hear that do you?!)

Nice to put a face with your name...I've been hit & miss on here lately too, so now I must go search for the original thread...

Al the best...

I love having the face to go with the name. The stuff you fretted about was completed overshadowed by the kindness that radiates from your eyes.

Dear Victoria, You are a very good photographer. You are especially good at getting mommy and your brother to smile for the camera. I hope you will take more photos and have your mommy post them here so we can enjoy them.

Wow, Victoria is doing just fine, but she has a great teacher. That is a lovely fun phogograph and we get to see the face behind the name and the great comments. It's so nice to see you Susan and of course Joey too. Victoria is not just a mascot lol now shes part of the gang and should have her own membership lol

Dave.

I love it! "Give me the big lens mommy!" Pretty soon she'll be wanting the Sigma 200-500 f 2.8. Got a spare 29 grand lying around? Takes a lot of money when there are two photofanatics in the same family! I'll be looking forward to seeing more of her posts.
