Default Beautiful Hawk ... and other things

I found this little guy last week. It's a young Coopers Hawk in the shade of a cottonwood tree.

I really like the hawk picture...birds of prey are my favorite photo subjects (besides my husband, who is very patient with me ;-)

Thanks Sandi! I love the birds of prey too. I was on an upper patio deck at a guest ranch when I spotted this one and its sibling in a tree. I was eye level with one of them. It was also over 105 degrees so I tried not to disturb them. It is so rewarding to find them in the wild like that.
