Wow, you know how to get my attention Lorraine. Just keep posting your fascinating Amish photographs. The first one is gorgeous. I would love that one on my wall. Lovely work on the wagon, it really gives the feel of going back in time. The Amish barns are a lovely colour and so well kept and you photogaph them so well. And the last one. Wow I'm on my way. Get some in the fridge, you have convinced me to come and see for myself.
I love viewing your work Lorraine. Thank You. David. xxxxx

In the spirit of neighborliness and thanksgiving, and in the tradition of the Threshers Dinner, you'll share your simple vittles amid the hand hewn beams of John T. Vawter's bank barn which was originally raised in 1870 and reconstructed here at 1977. Your food is all on the table and there's more in the kitchen, so like a hungry thresher, don't be timid, ask for more. Iron kettle of thick ham & bean soup Amish Acres freshly baked hearth bread Fresh yellow butter* Crock of locally made apple butter Seasonal relish Sweet & sour cabbage salad Green beans with smoked side meat Beef & noodles Mashed potatoes Bread dressing & giblet gravy Your choice of Broasted country chicken and Cider-baked hickory smoked ham or Tender roast beef Choose one dessert per person: Tins of fresh fruit pies ( lemon merigune, pecan, apple, etc ) Shoofly pie Vanilla date nut pudding Beverages include coffee, hot tea, milk, Lemonade, and iced tea. |
