P-51 Mustang & F-15 Strike Eagle. Even if you're not into aircraft, you might enjoy this photo. I took this photo July-12th-2009 at the Geneseo Air Show, Geneseo, NY-USA. It is of a WW II P-51 Mustang Flying in very tight formation with a modern F-15 Eagle Jet. AMAZING to watch in person. Once in a while you get lucky and nail one like this ! I am a total newbie with this camera and this was my very first time ever shooting high speed action subjects. I learned really quickly you have to do everything in manual mode, set the zoom, leave it and make minor adjustments to the focus and squeeze off as they fly by. Image Data: Camera: Nikon D90 Date_Time: 2009-07-12 14:18:28 Exposure Time = 1/2500" F Number = F6.3 Exposure Program = Shutter Priority ISO Speed Used = 320 White Balance = AUTO Focus Mode = MANUAL Lens Type = Nikon G series Lens 70 - 300 mm Focal Length = 210mm |

Thank you for the kind comments. Slowly I am getting back in photography as a hobbie after many years of only using a point and shoot. Between 1976 and 1990 I was a pretty avid amateur and I'd like to think that back then I knew hot to "get the shot".
Now, I feel I have a great camera, but I have to constantly refer to the users manual to figure out what I want to do and how to set it up. This digital-photography-school.com web site, it's forums, the weekly newsletters, etc....are just fantastic for someone like me trying to re-learn it again. |

Wow! You learn quickly. This is a great shot, and something special to see a couple of the greatest warplanes of all time, side-by-side. Thanks for sharing.

Great one, really cool!
It seems to me that the most important thing is to know how to "get the shot". The rest just takes a bit of practice with the camera and getting used to new possibilities, like having the third lever for exposure, ISO. Great photo, keep them coming!
