Default more from the catskills

hope i am not ruining my rep as a decent childrens photographer i just wanted to branch out so i took bill lemons outdoor glamour photography workshop. after some group sessions you were allowed to take a model on your own shoot for an hour at a time so i got 6 different models on my own private shoot to see what you could come up with on your own. here are a few with leah the same model i posted yesterday. the last was with jaimie who happens to be tommy hilfigers niece. hope you enjoy.

It's all about expanding our horizons, right? It's a necessary evil. Very creative poses. I think I like the third one the best with the contrast of the soft, supple skin against the weathered siding of the house (whoa...gotta stop those adjectives from spilling out, they're not going to nice places!). Seriously, I'm sure we're going to see what you've been learning here applied to your regular photography and it will translate into a higher level of professionalism.

That must have been one tough photo shoot for you. Poor boy.

Love the one with her on the cliff. The lighting is amazing and your processing really gave these that extra edge. Awsome job my friend!!!

These are all really nice but I'd have to say the first is my favorite. I really like the contrast between the hard and rough rock face and the soft and smooth model. The third one is really nice too with the colour of the structure standing out but not dominating the image.

Hmm... I wonder if my wife would have an issue with me getting into this side of photography.

I have to say that you have mastered many different techniques during one single weekend. Soft focus on the first one works really nice also in the B/W conversion. The composition under dim light in the second is also very good. The third one with the high picth light is my fav, really interesting. The last is a great pro portrait. The girls are beautiful but they are properly dessed up. The poses are artsy not insinuating or anything. In my humble opinion you kept it in the "safe"side, which under the circunstances must have been not a trivial task.

To avoid situations in which you might make mistakes may be the biggest mistake of all.
