Thought this would be an interesting shot, something a little different from my normal subjects. I have been playing around with B & W recently not sure wether it does this shot justice or not, the original did look a little boring in colour.

yup black and white is cool creates more dramatic pics .In your case that gothic dark and mysterious feel, love the angle too!!

B & W was an excellent choice! It makes me focus on the texture of the window and stone. Also the clouds in the background mirror the blooms in the foreground and the B&W brings focus to your excellent composition, whereas I might not see it as well in color.

Dave, you never fail to impress with your ability to see the right shot, and then capture it at the right angle with right amount of light, and this is another fine example of your work, and I do like the black and white treatment here, adds to the gothic feel, excellent job buddy
