Default Early morning on a NW Georgia farm

Hi folks, I have been away for a few days visting with some family down in Chattanooga, TN. These pics are of the farm we often stay at when we go there. It belongs to my mother's husband and some cattle was raised on it but now is primarily used to lease out the land and assets thereon. I forced myself out of bed early and walked out to where an old barn is on the property. The first two shots are of the sunrise over Lookout Mountain where I was raised. It was foggy in the valley which is very typical for a humid summer morning.....

I've been thinking about the roll hills and mountains in the development of our pyche. I can't imagine the sense of well being you must have felt as a kid and now seeing them as an adult. I love the deep shadowed mystery of your first two shots. Barns, too, seem to hold sway, especially the tinned roof type. Thanks so much for getting up early to bring us these shots! Welcome back.

Excellent set, Patrick! I love early mornings with heavy dew and morning mist. The third would be my favorite. I like the framing of the barn through the trees.

Welcome Back, Patrick.
All rested and frefreshed?
This is a great series. I loved the sunrises.
I'm not a morning person and therefore I don't really know how they look like.
Thanks for sharing those precious moments.

Had a terrible time trying to get a shot where the roof would not be completely blown out!

Yes you can...and I could feel the heaviness of it also...not nice when you add heat too

There are places where I just stand like at home plate on my old ball field and the memories are just like yesterday....I can see it, hear it and smell it

You would certainly have this as well being only a couple of hours from there

I am not a morning person at all and so I do not see too many sunrises unless I am opening the store at work....Hope you are doing well
