The Windward side of Maui is quite different from the Western side, barren, with a stark beauty of it's own.
On the road from Hana. [IMG] [/IMG]Larger: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3488/...fce6e3d3_b.jpg The Hybiscus is Hawaii's State Flower. [IMG] [/IMG]Larger: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3506/...9371d883_b.jpg I usually over expose roses, but I think this one turned out well. Taken on the way to Mt. Haleakala National Park. [IMG] [/IMG]Larger: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3464/...e98c08e2_b.jpg These little Sparrows were so much fun to watch, they landed on our balcony and we fed the crumbs and laughed at their antics. Not the best picture, but I liked the colors and He was a handsome fellow. [IMG] [/IMG]Larger: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3578/...a919108b_o.jpg Thanks for Looking Michael

As always, your images stand out. They are all excellent, but the last one is my favorite.. The purplish-brown on the top of the head against the purple and green bokeh in the background is something special.

Love these shots. The hibiscus is gorgeous and I love the one of the sparrow. What a great place to visit.
