Default The bird hunter

Caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting him to show. Flew right past me 2 feet off the deck like a fighter jet on a mission. Then swooped up and landed on his favorite hunting perch. Wish i had the teleconverter on. A little overcropped , but you can see it is deff. a coopers hawk now.

These are great considering how fast he was. The first one has captured the details in he's feathers wonderfully. I Love the last one too, you can just imagine what he's thinking.

Wow Prime. Your reactions had to be fast to to get these excellent captures. I love the first one. And nice that you got him when he came to rest. Great work Prime. What a lovey bird too.

Dave.

Great captures and all your skills you've obtained shooting deer and hummingbirds are evident here. Good to know that the mystery is finally solved and it's a Cooper's Hawk. Do you think the birds that get eaten care what his name is? As close as it came to you, I'd be looking out for my own safety!!

That is a nice series of events. With bird everything happens so fast that is difficult to get decent pictures. Here you got good ones. Congrats!

Caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting him to show.

This merely makes the selection even better than if the birds' arrival could have been anticipated or planned. Three excellent seqential pictures capturing the spontaneity of the events, good job Prime, very good job

Thanks everyone, as always i appreciate the kind remarks.

Maybe next time he'll come down closer for a portrait, 60yds is too far for a good bird shot.
