Default An intro thread

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself here. Thought this might be another good place to get my feet wet. In any case, I've been thinking about getting a bit more serious about my photography, despite the fact that I'm still a very unseasoned beginner. Still, maybe getting into the mindset will help. To that extent, I've been getting ready to set up a portfolio site of sorts. Granted, it's not going to have anything even comparitively good to most other stuff, but hey, might as well try.

I just started getting into post-processing (wow, so shooting in RAW DOES have it's benefits...). Sorry that the images aren't very topically related. If anything, the only thing common among them is that they are all the first fruits of my beginning experience with post-processing.

Taken in a tourist Amish attraction near Lancaster, PA. A bit of sepia-like post-processing? I kinda like the warping effect from the 18mm.

This picture really came alive after post-processing. Again taken in the country-ish side of Lancaster, PA. Before it was just a dull image of clouds, but I bumped up the dark blue in this picture way up in Lightroom.

Something I took in NY, I think near 8th avenue? I forget. I thought the perspective was really nice. Perhaps if I lined up my shot better with the lines on the road...

Again, PP brought out the effect on this one. Taken in Central Park in NYC.
