The first one is of an interesting structure called Obsidian Dome. It's a volcanic dome covered with obsidion. Fun place. The second two are of the area's namesake, Mammoth Mountain. It's a ski resort built upon a volcano. In fact the whole area is in very close proximity to the Long Valley Caldera. Beautiful area and very interesting to learn about. More trivia bits tomorrow.
Hope you liked and thanks for looking!

I agree with Hayward that they are majestic views. You get fun fishing and taking pictures at the same time: you are truly enjoying life and sharing them with us through your photos. Thanks for sharing Fred.

As usual, great stuff, Fred. I've learned that while the fishing is always fine, sometimes the catching isn't! Those are excellent times to put what out photographers' eyes see into our cameras. Keep 'em coming, old bean!

Thanks, Ian... sadly, the fishing wasn't real good. I didn't get any photos of the fish I caught. While beautiful specimens, they were kind of on the smallish side. Fun to catch, just a little small. I think I've converted my friend over to fly fishing. At least that's what he says. At least the scenery was as stunning as I remembered.
