Default Haleakala

Here are a few shots from our trip to Haleakala National Park on Maui.
This is looking down from the overlook. Haleakala is over 10400 ft above sea level and it's quite cool at the top. So if you go take a sweatshirt!!!

While we were taking pictures several Chukar chicks came running by, chasing after their mom.

Mom was close by and let me get a few shots before flying off.

And finally one last Sunset from Maui!

Haleakala is such a fascinating place; I think you captured it very well. You've certainly got the surreal feel of the crater.

Wow Michael, yet another amazing set of photographs. The first one is amazing. The colors and textures of the rock are so sharp and clear. Two lovely captures of the birds and a wonderful sunset to finish. Your work just gets better and better Michael.

Dave.

I absolutely love the first shot, the colours are amazing. Great spotting of the Chukar chick its colouring nearly blends in with the surroundings. The shot of its mum is just beautiful. Angela

Hi Michael, like all four but my favourites are the first and last.
Love the contours of the land in the first picture, both sides swirl in to meet off centre, excellent.
The final picture is similar to yesterdays, and I love this style of seascape. Good bog buddy

Have to agree with the others, all are good but the 1st one is outstanding.
