i really like the first shot, but find the background distracting, especially the sky. i would have been inclined to change the angle slightly so that the entire background was dark trees and then crop in quite tight to the flower. still, a very interesting perspective - i like it.

#2 ..... more conventional...

#1 .... Odd angle ?? A little too soft ... ? - Strange picture.... I think I really like it !!!!
