Your son seems to be a good goalkeeper!
Way to go.
I think you did a good job removing the people behind the goaly.
Is just that the blur aof the net and the poles (which are almost in the same plane as your son) contrast too much with your son. As a result he looks "pasted".
This is just my opinion.
I am a Futbol fan and I like what you are trying to do!

I liked the fact that you removed the disturbance on the back.. but I would have liked the net to stay in focus.. like the original shot..

I mean the goal keeper isn't very far off from the net and hence it gives a very good look..
