Default Rainbow Splash (Speed Photography)

Rainbow Splash

Rainbow Splash - 18

My second attempt at this shoot. This was 6 shots, merged in PSE7 and minor fixes in Lightroom. Splashes were created with milk and food coloring, and timing was made possible with an Infrared flash trigger.

Wow, The symmetry here is excellent and the colours are stunning. Lovely contrast with the black background too. This is brilliant work rt.

Dave.

Thanks for the comments! I tried this shoot on Sunday, and it didn't go well (used skim milk instead of cream). It ended up as a big, messy puddle.

This time I premixed the cream and food coloring (usually I just put drops of food coloring in the puddles) and it worked rather well. The colors did start to run after a while, but I got 9-10 splashes in each spot before that happened.

The consistency of the shapes is amazing. I really like the colors, and the execution is top notch.
